The PAVS Big Do | Simpsons Cross
You are invited to the PAVS ‘Big Do’ on 5th June at The Centre, Simpson Cross, 10am-2pm
As part of Volunteers’ Week the event will be a chance to get together to ‘do’ something (some volunteering) but also to have a bit of a ‘do’ (as in a celebration). We will provide lunch and there will be a chance to network with others and of course a chance to do something that helps (another organisation and/or the community). Activities will start about 10.30am and lunch will be from 12.30-1.30pm.
There will be a chance to be outdoors or indoors, and activities already confirmed are…
Outdoors, helping in the community garden/ meadow area - including: weeding flower beds & vegetable beds, painting outdoor fence, mowing grass, watering & mulching trees, planting flowers & plants (please wear suitable clothing and shoes) - please note the garden area is not fully accessible if you have limited mobility.
Indoor options will include: write a letter to someone feeling lonely (Cwtch post box), fill a 'jar of kindness', preparing exhibition boards for a local history exhibition in Little Haven called: 'Past and Present Community Groups in The Havens' using materials provided, contribute to a chain poem, plant a cup of kindness to take away, help 2Wish with some arts and crafts, help set up for lunch, tidy up/ washing up...and much more.
